In the 1930s, amidst the challenging conditions of the Mont-Blanc, a group of intrepid researchers braved the thin air, freezing temperatures, and treacherous terrain to construct a humble hut dedicated to studying cosmic rays.
Armed with rudimentary instruments and unyielding enthusiasm, they ventured into the rarified atmosphere to investigate the mysterious high-energy particles bombarding Earth from outer space. Their groundbreaking work in this remote laboratory not only advanced our understanding of cosmic rays but also paved the way for future discoveries in astrophysics and particle physics. After several years of diverse scientific research, this laboratory became a mountain hut named The Cosmiques Hut, welcoming explorers of a slightly different kind.
The scientist’s unwavering dedication and pioneering spirit in the face of adversity remain an enduring inspiration for the pursuit of knowledge, even in the most challenging of environments. NeurAstra started as a myriad of individual projects animated by the same passion and determination. We are now a small international team of scientists and explorers working on advancing our knowledge to apprehend our world and understand our place in the universe; we are les Nouveaux Cosmiques.
